Hi ppl,

I currently have Razer Copperhead but have been thinking about a change. Nothing really wrong with it just fancy a change.

My first thoughts were to the Imperator - but having read up on z axis issues and the sensor not being as good as the optical ones like on the old deathadder I'm not too sure.

I want to stick with Razer bcos I do like their products and I tend stay with one brand until it fails me.

I think my options atm are:

Razer Imperator

Razer Deathadder (both new and old but I've read older one is miles better)

Steelseries Xai

Stick with the Copperhead

I play FPS games only mostly TFC and L4D using a half palm half claw grip. My palm is mostly on the mouse but fingers aren't flat on the buttons either.

What you guys think from experience? Stay with Copperhead? Avoid the Imperator? Xai? Deathadder old/new

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Wu

if you like the copperhead, then it might be worth getting a lachesis, its closer to the shape of the copperhead than the deathadder is.

althou, the deathadder certaintly is a nice mouse, especially if you are a palm player.

i actually went from the lachesis to the left handed deathadder

I think I want a change from the Copperhead shape.

Was it the old or new Deathadder you went for?

Bump - would like some more thoughts.

I REALLY want the Imperator but the lazer in it worries me.

After that I think I would turn to the 1800dpi Deathadder but is there any point if I already own a copperhead?

I've got the latest copy of Custom PC in my hands and the Imperator got a recommendation from them. Good enough for me.

Yea but did they mention the lazer - most of the reviews I read or watched about the Imperator seem to skip over the fact that it can freeze etc mid-game. Which is NOT what I expect from a £55 mouse. Most ppl really lay into the Philipps Twin Eye Sensor which also worries me.

BAH why couldn't it just NOT have these problems I would be using it now.....

Nothing was mentioned about the laser. However could it be that this is fixed with a driver and/or firmware upgrade? Perhaps there's a patched driver/firmware out?

Edit: In fact, checking their site, I can see a new driver release on May 7th. It's possible this is being used for newer reviews now.

Can't find anything from May 7. Could you link it please. All I can find is March 18th 2010

Cheers
