Hey. I bought the Swiftech MCW30 block a month or so ago and it seems to be doing the job fine. However, I recently bought a new mobo and the guy is sending the EK blocks for the mosfets and NB with it.

So basically Im going to have to NB blocks and wondering which is best, the EK block (not sure which version it is, but they all look the same to be with different mounting holes) or the Swiftech one?

I know I could probably fit one of them to the SB, but I think my graphics card will be in the way. Plus I can sell one on and make me think Ive got a better bargain :p

To be honest since there isn't that much heat to be disipated compared to cpu and gpu it probably doesn't really matter tbh. I'd keep whichever looks best.

As greebo said the northbridge and southbridge don't generate that much heat, most asus boards don't even have have a fan installed either. If you are getting the ek mosfet blocks too use the ek one so they all match, though that's probably me being picky lol
Which mobo is it?

Yea, I was thinking about getting them to match. Got a Swiftech GTZ CPU block aswell so could argue for those matching... though they cpu and nb block look quite different haha. Probably will go with the EK one then.

Its an Asus P5Q-E. Photo of the one Im getting with the blocks installed, he should have sent it today :)
