Guys, I really need some advice as to which netbook I should buy. I'm a student and I need a cheap (preferably sub-£300) laptop that I can take with me to my Uni's library. I'll really only be using it for writing essays (with MS word), browsing the net, and perhaps also for itunes. I want something well-built, with a decent keyboard, and good battery life.. And if it looks nice, that's an added bonus.

From what I can tell, the Samsung NC10 is the best I could get with the money I have. Is that right, or should I get something else?

im considering the dell inspiron 1525 myself, little bit over 300 but very nice for the money, well built and well thought of for a budget laptop.

That's not a netbook, though, unless I'm mistaken. I've had a look at it and it's definitely a good laptop. High spec for the money. I just want something a little more portable.

One the best ways to figure out what would be right for you is to go and have a play on the netbooks. See how the different keyboard sizes fit your hands. The Samsung NC10 is the newest netbook available. It was only released on the 1st (White) and has yet to be released for the black and blue models. It is the most well rounded netbook and many call it the best. Read some reviews.

+1 for the NC10, I got mine ordered after a bit of research. Tbf the EEpc1000 is also decent for the money, especially if you care about having wireless N.
