If you have (on a laptop) or otherwise, TWO network connections, wifi and ethernet, which one will be used when:

1) You transfer large file from the intranet (from a NAS)
2) For internet?

Never figured it out. Always disabled the wifi before transferring the big file just cos i wanted to make sure it used the ethernet

It'll depend on OS, the IPs of the two adapters and the NAS and the order of precedence you've configured. In most cases, it'll use the same one for both.

I'm on vista ultimate and XP (different comps). Dont remember seeing anywhere any order of precedence, where is it?

So, besides having 2 network IPs, there isnt much point in having 2 100mbps ethernet ports on 1 comp?

Dang, i was hoping there was a way to "bind" the connection, double the transfer rate...

Manage Network Connections on Vista / XP's Network Connections, -> Advanced -> Advanced Settings

You'd need an adapter/switch that supported teaming.
