Which non Conroe CPU for a badaxe mobo?

basically i want a cheapo CPU for nothing more than testing/as a backup just in case since i like to have spares. I also recall that the old PD cpus are dead cheap now so the ultra low end should be pennies

anyone know the cheapest CPU to go for? not too sure with intel tbh - have been AMD since i had a P2

nikebee, dont want to spend more, this is only for testing in case of a faulty mobo or CPU. i like having some redundancy just in case.
