Nope they have not said to downgrade, just finished my 3 free months.

They usually should tell you what the best package is for you. When i ordered the 8mb package (cause i knew i could only get max 6mb) they sent me an email a few weeks after the install saying that the package was right for me that upgrading wouldn't do anything basically.

oh I remember them saying I was on the right package now. max sync is 9mb, so 20mb is not right.

o2s website si so slow and crap since they changed it.

Well if 9mb is the most you can sync at obviously you are on the right package. Whether it's worth paying the difference for the extra 1mb, or just downgrading to 8mb is up to you.

I have now gone to the 8mb service and still syncing at the same I was before. So the saving is ok. And I got my 3 months free from signing up to the premium service. :)

Normally speaking to the night staff is the way to go theres many reports they are happy to turn it off but it does depend on current line states if your line is long then it is best to have it kept on.
