Which OBD app for Mercedes?

Any recommendations? I have an OBD scanner which I have used previously to clear errors from different cars.

As ever, it depends on how much you want to spend. Even "Professional" level tools are quite affordable these days (Especially if you can already afford a Merc ;) ) and have far greater capability than any phone app.

Lifetime updates and will work for all your future cars too!

Doesn't look like it supports all car manufacturers.

This one was recommended by my local mechanic

No scan tool will support everybody. That's why professionals will usually have more than one. The Autel looks similar to the Foxwell. Its kind of like a sky subscription. to get the three channels you actually need you have to subscribe to all three full channel packages!

My local mechanic has a fairly advanced but generic tool as per the link above, frankly all it seems to do better than my £20 aliexpress one is having a nicer screen. I still have to take my Merc to a specialist with subscription STAR for anything in depth.

My point is that its nice to have a basic dedicated OBD2 tool (much nicer than a bluetooth one and a phone app imo) but it seems a bit pointless to spend much on it when to access anything in depth you need a multiplexer and the full STAR software anyway.

Got already dealer diagnostics for PSA and have found a Xentry diagnostic for MB. Will give it a play once i find some time but until then a simple OBD scanner would do most jobs.
