Hello everyone..
I have been keeping an eye on the bundles that OC offer for some time now, planning that when I have enough cash, i'll go ahead and upgrade my current AMD system.
I would say my budget is about £400 - £450
When the new nForce780i boards came along, I was going to get one of those, bundled with the Q6600 2.4Ghz CPU. But now I have noticed OC have an 'overclocked' bundle, with the same processor, but running at up to 3.3Ghz on an ABit IP35 Pro board.
I will be adding to this a Tagan 900W PSU, a Gainward 8800GTX and 2 x WD Raptor X drives, which are in my current system. With plans to add another 8800GTX in the future.
So what do you guys think of that overclocked bundle? Best to go for the added CPU speed? Or best to 'future proof' it, and go for an nForce 780i board?
Any comments appreciated.
Thanks.
TiM.
