Hey all,

Been waiting for the 120hz monitors to go on TWO before I buy one. My main usage is fast FPS games but I will also use it for PS3/ linking up my MBP.

I was mainly considering the BENQ XL2411T however there are two other monitors on offer for only slightly more: the Acer HN274.... and the Asus VG248QE.

I'm thinking the 27" Acer is too big for gaming / pixel density? Can anyone confirm this. I believe the Asus and Benq use the same panel and I was therefore leaning towards the Asus due to it having displayport for my MBP.

Anyone care to weigh in?

The Asus one has a better refresh rate - dunno if you're likely to notice 1ms and it looks like it has a vertical swivel on it. The Acer one has a curved bottom and imho if you're getting two it won't look as good as two squared off ones.

Pretty sure the xl2411t is a 144hz panel too.

I heard they market it as 120hz to match '120hz' product searches online.

That is correct. As to the original question the BenQ offers the best combination of image performance, responsiveness and price in the UK. It's the one to go for. :)

Ok, many thanks. I won't be ordering for a few days so if there are any more opinions please jump in. If not it looks like the Benq
