Hi All I have decided what make fan i want ,but which of these 2 should i buy ,which will be quieter ?

Noctua NF-S12 800RPM 120mm Silent Case Fan - 3 Pin 0r
Noctua NF-S12 1200RPM 120mm Silent Case Fan - 3 Pin

I'd say 1200rpm, unless your complete silence freak and have superman hearing to get annoyed by 17dba of 1200rpm(on 12v rail of course). the 800 does 8dba on 12v and less than 5dba on 7.5v (you wont hear it at all). they are great fans imho, I've got 2 1200rpm in my case on 12V and they push a fair bit of air without making vantec tornado noise.

800RPM will be quieter as it runs at, surprise surprise, 800RPM. The 1200RPM fan will be slightly louder as, and you won't believe this but it runs at 1200RPM! Wild, eh?! ;)

Depends if you want more airflow or less noise. The choice is yours...

oh yeah, forgot to add, i did sum testing with my mates 800 rpm noctua. the 1200 rpm model with ULNA (600rpm) - seems to perform about the same as the 800rpm (dont ask why, my personal opinion). Overall I would suggest the 1200rpm version over the 800rpm version. If you can be buggered you can mod the 1200 model to make it work at 7V or 5V to make it rotate slower.

have a look at the website bout fans.

My motherboard fan controller (on a Bad Axe 2) automatically makes my front and rear fan run at 800RPM, despite them being 1200RPM fans. I can make them run at full speed by simply turning this setting off, but I notice a significant noise increase when I do so and only a 1-2 degree difference, so I just leave them at 800.

thanks for that ,very interesting ,so if you got an 800rpm fan ,would it be surficant to cool the case ? or is 1200rpm a must ?

800RPM should be ok. Depends on your case, components. ambient temp etc. You could get a 1200RPM fan though and just run it slower. Up the speed if and when necessary. You're covered then.

Especially since they cost the same. think of it as buying an impreza stock and WRX and they both cost the same price, but you can take VXR on track days and do mundane daily tasks with it as well ( bad example, i know). plus i dont think you will need to mod the 1200 rpm noctua, my hdds and optical drives are louder than noctua. you practically cant hear them running @ 1200
