Which one provides the 'best bang for buck' in terms of cooling/quality build?

I would say the CM 690 because of the sheer amount of fans you can put in there (eight) and its mostly all metal mesh which looks great and allows for great cooling. also, Coolermaster's build quality is great

Lancool K62. Based on what I've seen from the PC-P50, it has excellent cable management, practically tool less for ease of installation, great cooling and Lian Li build quality!

Are you able to fit the 58xx cards in these and also is it possible to fit heatsink like the prolimatech megahalems in these. Im really keen on the antec 300 and the 690. What are your thoughts on the antec 300? its really appealing due to its price (allows for money to be spent on other components

)

Well i like both the 300 and 690 a lot, i just cant decide between these 2. Which one offers the best cooling & size. I guess it would be easier to ask which of these 2 would fit a 5850 and also heatsinks like the prolimatech megahalems?

Yes, the cm 690 will accommodate cards upto 12.4" long so it will even fit the beastly 5970. and the cooler will be no problem

CM690 all the way baby, has so many features for a decent budget case!

mines chocked full of fans and being near an old sash window in my house meaning that it stay pretty chiiiiiiilllllllllllyyyy in there

I have the Lancool K62 (with 3.8ghz i7 & 5850) and it is very nice quality and keeps everything very cool with standard fans. Looks good too (better than picture)
