Hey guys I asked this question in another forum but it seems people there like to give you answers that have nothing to do with the question. So I'd like to ask here =)

Which of these 680's do you recommend?

This Zotac Amp! has a lower core clock but much higher memory clock. It is also a reference PCB.

This Asus is custom and has a higher core clock but stock memory clock.

They both look like great cards but I don't know which to get. I also don't plan on overclocking further myself.

I'm wondering if GW2 would benefit from a higher core clock or memory clock since that is my main game. But I do play other games.

If you have another 680 in mind please feel free to post it. Except no reference coolers please =)

Thank you very much and please if you can just keep it to the 680's that will be great. Everyone in the other thread decided to recommend a 7970 or 670 but I just want the highest performance so I am sure I want a 680.

Thank you!

Remove the links, cannot link to competitors.

Asus would be better, but i'll give you an answer which is better but not what your wanting, save the money and get a 670. Something like a 670FTW is basically a 680 in disguise.

Yeah, if you want to get a 680 the Lightning is the one to go for given the small amount extra you pay over a reference 680, but with better quality components. Howeverthey are now being shipped with locked voltage BIOSes (the unlocked voltage tweaking was a big selling point of the Lightning and FTW over other 680's), unless OCUK has ones with the older BIOS left. You can always flash the card with an older lightning BIOS for voltage tweaking, just as long as you don't mind losing your warranty. Even if they do have locked voltage and you aren't prepared to flash, I'd still buy the Lightning over any other 680 just for the quality and performance.
