Which of these PSU's? Corsair 650W TX or Corsair 550W VX?

Hi, im after a new PSU as i think my current one maybe broken.

My friends offered me both of these for a similar price but I don't know what the differences are between them.

A Corsair 550W VX
or a
Corsair 650W TX.

My initial reaction is to go for the more powerfull one to be future proof. but there must be a reason why they're around a similar price?

iirc the VX offers the 'cleaner' power but they are both v.good PSU's

Think i've got a OCZ GameXstream 700W sorted from members market, I'm guessing thats of a similar calibre? It's going to be about £10 cheaper than what my mates offering aswell.

That FSP's design is very ripple prone above 400W load.

I know the following review is between the VX and the HX but it is between the too different manufacturers:

Overall, they are both good makers so get the cheapest unless one offers more connectors which you need for example.
