Which one do i purchase, first time playing both BF2042 or Battlebit?

I've put equal hours into both and my money would be going on battlebit.

2042 - looks pretty but is hollow and unsatisfying in almost every metric of what makes a decent battlefield game.
Battlebit - opposite of the above.

I refunded Battlebit. The principle is sound but it's far too rough at the moment. The sound design in particular makes me die a little inside every time I shoot. I hope they polish it up a bit and make the core shooting mechanics feel better, as the macro game flow is really solid.

What's wrong with the sounds? I mean they're not Hollywood movie invoking, but they go bang like guns should. I find the gunplay feels satisfyingly impactful too. A couple of shots up close is normally all it takes to take someone out, as opposed to being bullet sponges with regenning health, and burst firing really makes a difference for mid-longer range shots.

Goes bang?

Gun fights sound like a spider tap-dancing.
