Looks like I might be going with a 3600 CPU for now

Going to need a motherboard to go with it

From this very website what would you recommend ? and what should i avoid ?

i have no idea about AMD boards, so confused as hell (but have read about a lot of board have vrm issues or something)

Criteria -

1) Works with 3600 CPU
2) upgradeable to the 5xxx CPUs in the future
3) Used for gaming, including VR Via USB-c and wirelessly
4) Connected to a Fibre Optic internet connection (but not sure what 2.5 and 1G networks are, so assuming 2.5 is only for LAN)
5) minimum 4x USB 3 on the back / 1 internal (2 usb 3's)
6) minimum 1x USB-C on the back (1 internal as well if poss)
7) USB 2 ports (i guess i can buy a HUB) as i need 6 minimum
8) ATX
9) m.2 (2280) (1 extra is a bonus)
Unsure if I need Wifi-6 (but want a future proof board for 6+ years)

No Asrock boards please, cant stand them

thanks

You want an X570 or a B550 board.

Most gaming boards have USB C for VR these days.

2.5 and 5G are 802.3bz compliant, basically Cat5e will do 2.5G and Cat6 2.5 and 5G. Switches that support this are few and far between in an affordable price bracket but it's future proof.

What's your budget?

thanks for your input :)

Around £200 mark, but id go up to £300 if needed for a good one thats going to be better for my needs
