Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5850 Vapor-X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

...note the 2 GIG part but only a 5850 card

or

Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5870 Vapor-X 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (11161-05-40R)

....1gig 5870 card

which one is best and which should I go for?

...or dare I say it....would a GTX470 be a better card than either the above???

If u are going for eyefinity then go for the larger memory (5850) but i think the 5870 1gb for the money is better.

i am pretty sure the 5870 is better than the 470 ^^

Well... i hope it is :>

So yer go for the 5870 i have 2 and love them (Vapor-X) aswell :>

1gb 5870 out of the 3 you picked at any res below eyefinity. Problem with the 2gb cards is the frame buffer is massive on them, creating a frame lag at lower resolutions when you use below 1gb of ram (which is literally most games at 1920x1200 with 4x AA).

Due to this, the 2gb cards are SLOWER than the 1gb versions at most resolutions.

I have a 550 PSU...if I got a 5870 would I need another PSU and I currently have a gtx260, would I need any other leads to hook it up to my mobo or would the card come with the leads I need?

It will be fine with your current psu and the GTX260 uses 2x6 pin connectors if i remember which is the same as the 5870.

I got the vapor-x 5870, 0 problems so far and very very good performance.
