Which one of these 2 TV's to buy?

At the moment I have a UE55JS9000 and it's getting replaced due to a fault, I'll receive a refund or vouchers to the full purchase price.

Been looking for another Samsung and have narrowed it down to the following.

Samsung UE55KS9000 £1699

Or the

Samsung UE55KS7500 £1299

If I was to get the 2nd I'd be able to put a 4K Blu-Ray player into the budget.

What are people's thoughts?

Personally I would get the KS8000 and a xbox one s it the same thing practically and you get a gaming console which supports 4k blu rays unlike the Ps4 pro much to my dismay......

KS9000 - It's better at blacks and better with HDR content.

TBH I'd not consider edge-lit at this price point.

I believe the KS9000 is just a curved version of the KS8000, it's the KS9500 that's backlit.

Correct.

Sadly the 9500 is more expensive than a B6V OLED.

What I meant was that I personally wouldn't spend 1700 on an edge lit tv. My foray into 4k tvs back in 2014 was backlit and that was only 2k euros.

Ah, makes sense. I'm half with you. My issue is I struggle to spend a lot of money on an LED fullstop. The KS9500 is pretty much the best all round panel at the moment if you're into gaming, movies etc, but it's crazy expensive for such old tech. If I get a KS7000 it will be a stop gap until OLED sort their input lag and get cheaper in larger sizes.

Would anyone be able to tell me the foot print, i.e. the stand size for the KS8000 49"? Can't find it anywhere and it's sort of important!
