Maybe we could help more if you explain what you plan to do, the Gigabyte P35 DS3R is and old 775 socket and the Asrock fm2a85x Extreme 4-m is more modern board to amd fm2 cpu's.

I acquired this other pc that was build last year.

Asrock fm2a85x Extreme 4-m
8gb ram
Atx 500w psu
Cant remember the cpu and gpu at the moment but i wanted to update my pc and just wondered wether to use the asrock or stay with my gigabyte and add more ram; I have heard that the asrock boards are not as good as gigabyte ones.

Can you tell me what cpu and graphics you have in the Asrock system and also what version of windows are on both systems ?

£150 for graphics card. i would swap both psu`s over and sell gigabyte pc then. So your saying the Asrock is a better mobo than the Gigabyte i have? What about the cpu as i thought the q6600 was better?

So the conclusion is...
Asrock Fm2A85X extreme 4-m
8gb Ram
Corsair 850w psu
R280 turbo gpu
A8 6600k cpu

And that will be a lot better than my old one?
