Which one should I choose?!

The mrs has decided on a lenovo 13.3 yoga hybrid laptop thing.

1) There is one up for private sale, i5 processor, 4gb ram 128gbSSD £500. The sales blurb says unwanted present, only used for a couple of days but when i checked the serial number the warranty began in July last year...(possibly haggle price down? lenovo 2yr warranty is only £22 to extend it)

2)PC high street shop has the same model as above for £650, I can get a slight discount and buy it new for around £600, 12month warranty.

3)A certain department store has the i7 version with 8gb of RAM, discounted by a huge amount and selling it for £699 with their own 2yr warranty. (normally retails around £1k)

Originally the laptop budget was £450! The geek in me wants the i7 version, but when i think what she'll actually be using it for, web browsing, netflix, the occasional powerpoint presentation in work... the i5 would be more than enough.

What to go for?!

Option 3 sounds pretty good. Not necessarily because of the i7 but with the extra RAM, two year warranty and the fact it's brand new would swing it for me.

Don't forget to upgrade to 8.1

is the i7 actually a quad core? or just higher clocked dual core with HT (in other words higher clocked i5)?

well, had a look. get the i5.

Good point, forgot its those little mobile cpu's.

Cheers for the replies, option 3 is just too far over budget really. I'm going to see the one for private sale on wednesday, the guy assures me it's literally just been taken out of the box, we'll see!

Only £20 to extend the warranty another two years as well so at least that's peace of mind.
