Which one to use?

I'm going to be entering a photo in a competition, my first entry in any photography competition I might add and it is theme'd on pets. I have a few which I like and at the moment am finding it hard to choose which to use.

Closing date isn't until the end of the month so there is time left yet to either re-processes 2 & 3 as they are RAW or try and get some other shots but she is a difficult dog to photograph, hard to get her to leave my side, lol.

What are your thoughts, C+C also welcome

Definitely not 3, I think it has a boring/distracting background and it lacks contrast.
1 I like most, but 2 is OK (again-distracting background).

I vote for 1.

I say one as well, 3 has quite a distracting background and I prefer the use of B&W in 1 over the colour in 2, plus 1 has a nice catch light in the eyes. You might want to try and clone out the stray hairs above the right ear though and perhaps an ever so slightly tighter crop to get rid of a little of the empty space in the top right hand corner. Looks good though, good luck in the competition.

Conversely I think no. 1 is the best but maybe it would be better in colour?

No 1 is fantastic, No2 + 3 sorry just look like snapshots
