I have a budget of exactly £80 for a new AGP Graphics card. My system is in my signature. I have a Optronix 400W PSU. Out of the following two graphics cards, which is better, and would it run on my system or would there be any bottlenecks? Also would my PSU be okay?

ATI X1650Pro
Geforce 7600GS

Thanks

ATI

- Powered by ATI Radeon X1650Pro - 600MHz
- 512MB-128bit 4 channel DDR2 memory - 800MHz

Nvidia

- NVIDIA 7600GS Core running at 400MHz
- 256MB DDR2 Memory running at 800MHz

So afaik i wouldve thought that the ATI one is better cause its core is 200mhz more? But im not so sure :S

Personally I'd look at getting something secondhand. For £80 you should be able to get a 6800u/x850xt-pe or similar I would have thought.

Thanks, looks like i'll go for the ATI.

Bear in mind he picked the x1650XT to be highlighted in that chart, not the x1650pro which is a fair amount slower. Still better than the 7600GS to be fair, but it lags behind the high end x800/6800 series cards.

AA+HDR is a red herring. Do you really think the card can run both AA and HDR, and still offer good performance?
