hi i have £40 of *competitor* vouchers to spend for my PS3, im looking at either getting

Silent Hill: Homecoming or

Resident Evil 5 (which i played demo and liked)

has anyone played silent hill is it better than Resident Evil 5?

I'd go with resident evil 5, As you've liked the demo, Silent Hill is a serious game and as much as I love them. I can't sit and play them with the same sense of fun I get from REs
