As far as i can see its only really the graphics cards which are different so what one would be best for gaming at 1920x1080 resolution? would either system be easy to upgrade further down the line? what one would be the prefered choice by you good guys ;) thanks for any input

I'd say the second one as the GTS 250 has 1GB that will help a lot on that res.And as for future upgrades......well the motherboard its a bit old now and has only 1xPCI-Express Slot and 2xDIMMs.But for 10 pounds more you could go with something like this.

It doesn't mention what motherboard is in those two PC's... How do you know they only have 1 PCIe x16 slot? They might have more. Could be worth asking OcUK what board is in there. It'll most likely be an AMD chipset, so if there is a crossfire option, go for the ATI graphics one, and get another card in future. Make sure you find out what board is in there though! If its an nForce one, get the nVidia card.

the extra 512MB on the nVidia card will probably help for that resolution though, so thats possibly the best one to go for at this point.

Ahh yes, my bad. Never noticed that page!

It is indeed only one graphics slot. And its an nForce board. I've known of several people complaining about the network controller on nForce boards.

I like Ast3r's setup, although i'd probably go for the AMD 550, since its on offer this week, and is Black Edition. Much easier and better for overclocking. Or spend £25 more and make it an X3 720 BE. That chip is awesome.

Thanks for the advice guys, dont think il build my own as its a bit daunting since am no good with electronics lol al take the easier option of pre built ha. so the best one would be with the 250gts card, is there any othe system that you guys could recommend for say the same amount or upto max £500, looking for a good graphics card that will last a while but will be easily upgraded in the future to? not got a clue on gpu's theres so many different variations i get lost lol want to play games on max settings for 1920x1080, games like grid, dirt2 ect..... thanks for any suggestions and recommendations
