Which one??

Both are fast and smooth performers, though the 290X is bit quicker / more powerful / has a greater amount of memory for the few games that require high vram. I believe you will find the 780 even smoother, particularly at lower frame rates.

Even though im an nvidia owner, id reccomend the R9 290X. It's a faster card than the 780, (780ti is more akin to 290X), higher vram count, and 20 quid cheaper.

If you play a lot of games with PhysX (Batman games, Borderlands predominately), or are planning on buying a Gsync or Nvidia 3D screen, then get the Nvidia. It'll be a great card, and you won't be disappointed.

If neither of these apply to you, then get the AMD. It's a quicker in most games than the 780 (there are exceptions that perform better on the Nvidia, but most will be quicker on the AMD), and costs less.

At current prices I might be tempted to pay the extra £60 for the 290X PCS over the 290p. That's not bad for the next model up.
Yolo.

290 xfire will be a very powerful setup. Also what resolution are you running and whats the rest of your spec, in particular what psu have you got?

Awesome review for this card !

I wondering..is it good idea to get 2 of those cards and sell memory, that would be 500 if i get 50 for each kit......?

Thanks, you need a full sized case and good airflow to CF two of these cards, they have an open cooling system which dump the heat into the case, average Case cooling is more than good enough to push that warm air out but with two your going to need something fairly substantial.

Why two? are you running multiple screens? Because one for one screen up to 1440P this card is plenty on its own.

Yep im on 1400p and a single powercolor 290 pcs+ is pretty good, instead of crossfire i put the money in my piggy bank and waiting for the 390

Specs: 4790k, Maximus VII Hero, 16gb Corsair Vegeance pro, evga supernova 850 g2, NZXT H440 and Monitor is 1080p but I will upgrade to 1440...

Psu should be ok if running the cards at stock, board spacing is ok as it's similair to my formula in sig.
