Can you wait until maybe next month? It's very possible nVidia will be releasing something new. Even if you are not interested in the new stuff, at the very least it should make purchasing a 1070/ti cheaper than it currently is.

i could yeah if needed, but will there be enough off a price drop though
 
All depends on how much of a performance increase there is with Nvidias new range and the launch prices.
If it’s only an incremental performance gain then there won’t be huge discounts.
 
There’s always the promise of something better around the corner but when you’re this close to the launch of a new range it’s sensible to wait.

This, you will be able to get better than next tier performance for a similar price.

We could be a month or two away at this point, seems mad to buy Pascal right now to me, unless you get a bonkers deal.
