Make it an AMD one. Intel have way too many security issues to be building an Intel system. But it’s an intel build(
Only difference is need a different motherboard.Do I need specific parts to use amd because I’ve built everything else and the cpu is the last thing I need ?
No problem.Ah well I’ll live with it it’s my first build anyways not gonna be perfect thanks anyway guys have a nice Christmas![]()
It's fine. Both are good buys. The AMD is the slightly better one. But I'm sure you'll enjoy the Intel just as much. There isn't a huge difference but if you didn't have all the parts then AMD is recommended slightly more.Ah well I’ll live with it it’s my first build anyways not gonna be perfect thanks anyway guys have a nice Christmas![]()
IM on a 8700K here. No complaints.
it's still decent but mine flirted with tjmax- it gets hot
What was your cooling like mate?
Mine never goes above the mid 50's for temps, usually averaging the mid high 40's. Although im running a 360mm AIO and at stock speeds.
To answer your specific question it is best to get the 9700K over the 8700K. The newer 9700K are R0 with newer silicon so should overclock to 5Ghz quite easily.I7- 8700k or I7 9700k ?
