Hey everyone,
So I have moved into a new house and we're finishing our home study and I'm in a bit of a conundrum.
I bought my pc in 2016 and wanted it to be very gamer looking withbrgb all over the place etc. I upgraded it last year to help with my university degree in computer science. I also bought a laptop at the same time. My desktop is in phanteks enthoo luxe from 2016 and I have the original gpu I bought then which is a gtx 1070. Parts I upgraded to last year are:
Ryzen 9 3900x
Asus prime X570-p atx
Corsair vengeance 32gb ddr4 2666
And I added some more ssd's and hdd's etc
I also bought a razer blade 15 core i7-10750h.
Lately, as we've been moving house everything is in storage and I've been doing my uni work on the laptop and it's fine. One of my modules that I could take later is vr though and I have an occulus rift s which only works with the desktop.
My problem now is the desktop is much too 'gamey' looking for the look we're going for so my options are:
1. Sell the desktop and rift s, buy a good docking station, external storage to pick up the slack of the much bigger storage the desk top has and buy a vr headset that works with my razer.
2. Change the case of the desktop to something much more stylish and less gamey. Buy longer cables and have the pc down on the floor away from the desk to keep a nice clean aesthetic and try and hide the cables as best I can.
3. Buy a new case that is smaller and change the motherboard etc so I could have it on the desk but for it to look more tidy and stylish and less lights and stuff.
With option 2 and 3 I'd probably want to have a docking station and have the desktop run through it as well as being able to plug the laptops in as my mrs uses a mac book.
I'd likely try and get an ultrawide monitor and wireless kbm to keep the desk clean and stylish. I do like the power of the desktop and the ability to upgrade easy etc but I've really grown out of the gamer look, although not playing occasional games lol.
Anyone got any ideas?
Cheers.
