I want to build my next PC in 4 months time, which includes the P4 920 (2800 MHz, dual-core, 2MB per core).

I remember that the original hyper-threading CPUs were optimised for Windows XP. Win 2000 and below was restricted to single-threading. I would like to carry on using Windows 2000. Will it see two cores on a CPU and utilise it?
