Just formatted my sis's laptop and installed XP pro, yet when I go to boot the PC it asks me which OS to boot, and gives me a choice of XP pro and XP home.

Does this mean I also have home installed? Also how can I have it so that it just boots to XP pro cause thats all I want it to do.

Thanks

There are two OS in the list, and by the looks of it the Xp pro is already set as default as it is also greyed out likes yours. However I can set the home edition to default but obviously I dont want to do that.

How about if I change the timeout to 0, so itll just load XP pro immediately?

EDIT - I did reformat the partition, however I didnt delete it if I remember correctly, I just formated the partition and then installed XP Pro onto it. It doesnt matter really? Still got rid of all the old crap I had on the PC b4 so not really fussed.

Putting the timeout to 0 should in theory work. Dont know why Xp Home isn't gone, you could try reformating again and deleted and recreating the partition. But its up to you.

If it was my PC id prob format again but its only my sisters and she wont know the difference. No harm in keeping it like it is atm tbh.

Thanks

I clicked the button "Check all boot paths" which resulted in the home edition being removed, hopefully that should fix it! will try now
