Which OS will I get?

Getting a new Laptop on Wednesday and I know it's shipping with Vista Home Premium. Can I safely assume that it'll be the 32 bit version?

If it makes any diff the Laptop will have an AMD Athlon TM64 CPU which I think is dual core?

cool thanks guys. need to look for a new firewall you see as my currect one (ashampoo) doesn't support vista as far as i know, and i don't like comodo (can't get it to let my 360 through so i can stream music).

the firewall is very much a backup though as i connect to the net using a nat router.

Just use the default Vista one, if you're using a hardware firewall etc already. It does the job.

will look at that. is it better than the xp firewall? ie, does it actually monitor outbound connections?
