yesterday i went out shopping left my pc on as usual, came home and te monitor was in standby mode, the media screen had froze on my g15 and it wasnt coming back on when i moved mouse.

i restarted and now it seems to not boot at all, i have sound on and its not geting to vista and the keyboard and mouse are not lighting up.

i checked inside and everything is spinning and hhds feal warm, ive tried booting with each of my hdds pluged in but stil nothing.

ive had the mobo battery out for 30 mins and that didnt do anything, so i left it off over nite.

anyone know what is wrong and what i should do next?

It's not that easy to say, if you have spare bits then you'll need to get busy testing starting off with the PSU followed by the RAM etc...
 
i tried taking bits out and seeing if it beeps, but then i ralised my pc never beaps for some reason.

i took out gfx and mem, put 1 stick in and 7800gt i had, and it worked so at this point i pooped my pants thinging my £350 gfx card has broke.

but i put mine in and it worked. i only had 1 stick on mem in so i switched them and i have a dead mem stick, which isnt so bad :)
 
well im in the process of getting an RMA number from corsair and i went and got some new ram from the place on the back of CPC. apart for a 20 min wait, all is well again :)

the price of ram has fallen a lot, i got Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C5 TwinX (2x1GB) which is pretty much the same as what i had for £35 i paid £80 for the other stuff last year.
