Hi Guys,

Been looking at the various bundles that OCuk has to offer an all a manage to get is a headache, been several years since I last did my own build.

Could use some help from you guys, what it is am looking for a new cpu, board, mem, cooler as well as a good psu to be compatible with my two new Matrix 7970's (platinum) bought in the last OCuk sale.

I plan on using my existing ssd drives as well as case(Antec 1200)for the time being as the machine is only used for gaming, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Am probably looking at a budget of around £700/£800

Thanks

Do you want a bundle or could you buy the parts separately and put them together yourself?

A bundle or separates mate a dont have a problem putting the Items together just un sure on what board and psu to get as the cards are massive hehe

you're going to want 750w+ and a power cpu, ie i5/i7 3rd/4th gen, memory should be any speed so long as its 8gb or even more if you'd like... as for motherboard pick a z87 (if your going with haswell 4th gen cpus).

for the cooler do you want to go with air or water? if water all in one or a proper setup?

for the mobo and ram just find a certain colour you like and stick with it. find the features you need on a motherboard of value. e.g good crossfire speeds etc and take a look from there.

a £300 mobo has no real performance difference in gaming so only features really matter. RAM has 2-5 fps difference at most so this is why you should pick lowest profile ram with aesthetics your going to enjoy

i would help choose a system but on phone
