Which PCI internet card?

1. How can i find out if it supports rangemax

1. Find the model number of your router, post it here, we can tell you.
2. 54mbps is the current fastest "standard", all of the others are either using Pre-N specs, or something like rangemax.
3. G is the wireless standard. Wireless B is 11mbps, G is 54mbps, N is the new standard which is around 250mbps, but the final specifications are not yet known, so any hardware supporting 802.11N is actually supporting Pre-N.

If you have a 54mb router get this: Netgear WG311 54Mbps Wireless Desktop PCI Network Adapter
If you have a 108mb router get this: Netgear WG311T 108Mbps Wireless Desktop PCI Network Adapter
If your router has a big blue thing on the top which flashs with lcd lights all the way around it then its Range max and get this: Netgear WPN311 108Mbps RangeMax Wireless Desktop PCI Network Adapter
To be honest, i dont understand whats so difficult to understand. You can read and look at pictures and find out which you have then you look at the wireless network cards which match.
Mine is 3 yeras old and didn't have one.

The manual that came with your router should say what MBPS it is, hell even the router may say what MBPS it is.
All you need to do then is buy a simple wireless card which connects via USB. Then scan through windows to find the wireless network, and connect to it.
Might want to read an article on wireless security if you're new to it, don't want your neighbour stealing your connection and downloading 100GB of porn.
