Hi all I am after HD plasma, the only requirement I have is that it will fit in a 120 x 110 cm cabinet.

I thank a 50” will not fit in the space. Budget is not too much of an issue im not looking at B&O but £5k and change would be fine.

Check out the Pioneer 43" range, you can pick the FDE model (No speakers or Digital Tuner) for about £1800.

Lots of spare change out of £5000 and you will struggle to get a better plasma.

For the £2000 pound mark I would say yes.

The good think about the Pioneer range is that they come with an external media box so all your AV kit (DVD, Sky and Video) plug into that so you only have to route a power cable and the media cable into the wall if you wall mount.

So as and when you change and AV equipment you are only having to unplug between the media box and the new kit, not rip your walls up again.

An alternative is the Panasonic screen. For what its worth I sought advice from 3 different independant dealers when I bough a plasma and they all suggested Pioneer and Panasonic over everything else.

I would recommend the pioneer 436xde as well...(I own one myself)

But there not very good for PC use due to overscan...If you what a screen for running your PC on as well, then i would really recommend a HD plasma panel..

If you are thinking about the 436xde then you need to check the size is ok with the speakers added as they add a fair amount to the depth.
(underscreen mount speaker extra 1x92mm) or width (side mount speakers extra 2x 92mm).
This is if your interested in adding the optional speakers
(I just notice your 110cm depth,so you have no problem with the under screen mount speaker)

Another vote for the 436XDE.. I've had one 7 months now, and I'm still impressed..

Technically an industrial Panel like the Panny PHD8, and just buying the connection boards you need, or an external scaler will give better results, the 436 is easy to setup and use etc with built in freeview..

I wouldn't go for the Pioneer add on speakers though.. yuck!!!! I just used a creative ITrigue set of PC Speakers, the satellites driven from the speaker conenctions on the panel, the sub fed from the variable audio outputs on the media box, everyone comments on how much nicer they look.. I put my side mounted pio speakers back in their boxes..
