WHich Power supply

Hi there, just finilising my final companants for my new build

so far got the ASUS X58 P6T
i7 920
73gb SAS HDD
and am hoping to get a 295gtx
6GB (3x2GB) (1333) CorsairXMS3 RAM

Now question is, if you could help is, which PSU should i go for, i like the look of the Modular corsiar 1000w HX, but i can find if it as the 8+2 pin connections for the Graphics

or are there any others that are rock solid that im missing?

ZM850-HP would work great in that build, 1000w is overkill.

My Zalman 750-HP has been the best PSU i have ever owned, quite reliable and looks great too.

I have recently put a similar spec together and opted for the Corsair 750w.

Does the Zalman have the appropriate connections for the newer gpx cards?

I know this sounds silly, but i've looked at that many componants and specs that im a bit bamboozled, my head is like a rock, not absorbing any more information

My 750 version came with a 6+2 connector and a normal 6 one.

The 850 version comes with 2 of each. (checked spec on another site).

*edit* no idea what connections the 295 card uses btw lol. I assume its a 6+2 and a 6.

Doesnt seem to many reviews about for zalman PSU's, but the ones avalable did look very good (which is why i bought 1

)

a 750w corsair is more than enough, absolutely no need to go for 1000 watt one

havent really looked into the i7 power consumption but i wud think a 1000w PSU is a bit overkill unless u plan to SLI with another 295 in the future.

Im using a thermaltake toughpower 750w (basically the same psu as a corsair 750, and a bit cheaper) and have been very impressed with it.
