My power supply seems to be dieing as I need to unplug my optical drive to get my pc to start :/

It's a OCZ GameXstrem 700W.

I require a replacement asap please what would I need? I want it to be future proof as I will upgrade soon but I only tend to keep pc's with one graphics card and one processor (well a dual core/quad core but one actual housing).

Currently using a

Dual Core E5200
4 Gig OCZ Ram (not sure what)
Some CPU COoler (nothing unordinary)
A Blu Ray DVD Rewriter optical drive
2 X 500 Gig hard drives
8800GT 512MB
Compro TV Card
2 X 120mm fans
Floppy Drive

And that's it! When I upgrade all I will be replacing is graphics card/cpu/ram & motherboard.

Bang for buck please thank you!

One is a lot cheaper - will this still be ok quality why's it soo cheap? Scouter? Should I just get the Corsair as it has a extra 2 year warranty? Do chillis really increase your metabolism?

Allows you to disconnect cables which are not in use, can be useful when keeping the case tidy, but they tend to be slightly more cost.

modular psu has detachable cables, so it's easier to do a tidy build.

nothing wrong with the quality of bequiet.

modular psu's allow you to only connect wot power wires you need.
(less wires, better cable management, better airflow)

a non modular requires you to sort out leads neatly that you dont use
(can disrupt airflow if they are not neat and tidy, spaghetti junction)

Ohh I know what a Modular PSU is just the original quote missed the word 'you' so I was confused lol. Not bothered about Modular as I kind of enjoy hiding the cables and sorting it all out. SO go for the Be Quiet? It'll provide power for future systems too? Seems to good to be true at that price a bit cheap?

BeQuiet are very good psu and should have no trouble in power up a future upgraded system.
