Which PowerSupply??

Sorry if this is abit of a frequently asked question but I need to get myself a new PSU for my system,

I had a FSP everest 1010w PSU but decided to get rid of it due to issues with my GTX 570. So Im selling it for about £60... half of what I paid and its a month old

So I've got a budget of about £90 give or take, I want to pay as close to £70 as possible.

idealy I want to put in annother gtx 570 in about 6 months time so the psu would need to be able to power that fine. Not too fussed about modular / not modular if im honest, I've room in the case for non modular but if a decent modular PSU that can run sli GTX 570 as well as an intel core i7 930 @ 4ghz as well as two 7200Rpm HDD drives.

Would a 750W psu be able to do this? or is it just ok for just one card?

You paid £120 for that POS?! :eek:

You probably over loaded one of the rails, FSP designs usually have multiple rails (4 would be my guess).

The best you are going to get is this:

It would just about run GTX570 in SLI + 930 at 4GHZ, but that's a very conservative guess.

EDIT: I'd go for stulid's suggestion.

I think I'd want at least a decent 850 watt model for a couple of 570s.

Thats what I thought, so edited my post from the Antec 650w to a XFX750w

Yeah I guess the XFX should just about do it, although there'd be bugger all headroom.

Oh I may go for the XFX 850 then its not too much more expensive than the 750W model

Go corsair High Amps 850 Watt, Could get away with 750Watt even with 2X 570
