I read in my magazine that the intel chip was the best one to get for a laptop, but yesterday a few people were telling me that the AMD chip is better? Any advice? Cheers

there really is no two ways about it. core 2duo based laptops are far quicker and more efficient than their x2 turion counterparts

or a sempron, or celeron m... they dont offer any great battery performance either... if you can afford a core 2 duo based laptop then go for it... if not the core duo and core solo machines also perform very well and offer great battery enhancements...Uriel said:

Nothing can beat Merom at the moment. Merom's introduction also means that Yonah's prices have gone through the floor. Pick one up if you're cheap.
