Hi all
My hiper has just gone 2 weeks outside the warranty:mad:
So looking for some help in which psu to go for ?

System specs
Abit IP35 Pro
Intel q6600 (o\c to 3.5)
4 x 120mm case fans
4 x hard drives
Nvidia 280 graphics card
Sata optical drive

Would like it to be modular

I'm debating the Coolermaster Silent Pro Modular 500W for the wife's new Sims 3 PC. :)

How long is the 24-Pin cable? I'm hoping it will stretch around the backplate to the connector.

Corsairs seem to be the psu of choice at the minute and i will be ordering mine next week to replace a failing kingwin. High quality components five year warranty and very reliable and stable psu's whats not to like.

The 5-year warranty is especially attractive. By the time that runs out, you'll be needing more power anyway.

Fact is, any company willing to stake 5 years of parts+labour on the quality of their product is clearly producing good quality products. You don't see 5 year warranties on £5 tesco toasty makers :-)

If your £75 includes VAT

If it doesnt:
650W non-modular (more expansion headroom)

520W modular (cleaner case+airflow, should still handle the system fine)

Standard length I suppose 60cm or so?

What do you mean stretch around the backplate?

Oh and the Coolermasters also come with a 5 years warranty :)

Dont matter about the backplate thing as the PSU will be sat at the bottom of the case.

5 Year warranty makes it look like a possible buy then.
