After reading the sticky it would seem that I would need something close to 500W, but I though I might get a couple of opinions as well.
I am building a PC from used parts and as cheaply as possible. I got a great deal on a case and it came with a Vantac Ion 2 350W PSU. Here is a list of what I will be running in the case:
- Nforce 4 MB
- 2 gig ram
- A64 3500+ (but eventually a Opti 165/170 CPU)
- 3 Sata HDD
- ATI X1950pro Graphics card
- 3 80mm Case fans
- DVD-RW
- TV card
- 2 External Firewire HDD
Is my 350W going to be able to handle all this without problems? I forgot how to calculate how much power I need on the 12v rail. If you could remind me then that would be great.
