Nice one this.. I have a very old PC controller that needs to use an ISA card(younger forum members may need to ask their parents about these monster cards). I've found a board that supports both 775 socket CPU (not conroe but I don't care) and ISA but I also remember that ISAs need a -5V rail from the PSU.

Which means that most modern PSUs will not work! Any suggestions for quality PSUs that support -5V?

You don't see too many ISA cards kicking about nowadays, I've still got an old PC that I use just for a scanner which needs an ISA card.

I'm having problems finding a PSU that still has a -5v rail though, most don't even mention it. However the Tagan Easycon 430w (pdf file for the data sheet) makes mention of the -5v rail, I don't know how strong you need it to be though. :)

Thanks - looks perfect.

And yes, ISA cards seem to only survive in legacy instrument controllers. Looks like I will be able to upgrade the PC..

From a Pentium 166 (I kid you not) to a Pentium 4 915... might see some improvement in reporting from the database :D
