Below are components I'm looking to get for a new build:

Asus P5B or P5B Deluxe
Core 2 Duo E6400
Akasa Eclipse 62
2GB (2x1GB) GeIL RAM PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency
Tuniq Tower 120
2 x Akasa AK-183-L2B Amber Ultra Quiet 120mm Fan - 3 pin
BFG GeForce 7300 GT OC 256MB DDR2 HDTV/DVI (PCI-Express)
2 x 250GB Seagate 7200.10 or Samsung SpinPoint
3 x DVD burners

I am hoping to OC the E6400 to 3.4GHz-3.6GHz for regular use, and will be looking to get a cheap DX10 card (eg. 8800GTS 320MB) when they come down in price a bit more. I'm on a reasonably tight budget, and not really sure what wattage PSU to get. I'm considering the following:

Akasa Ultra Quiet 550W Power+ iQ Active PFC ATX2.01
Akasa Ultra Quiet 650W Power+ iQ Active PFC ATX2.01
Antec TruePower Trio 550W PSU
Antec TruePower Trio 650W PSU
Enermax Liberty 500W ELT500AWT ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU

Would all the above be able to run my OC'd system, including when I add a 8800GTS 320MB ?

Which is the best ?

Just read the UK Custom PC PSU roundup and it kinda put me off the Antec TruePower's (although they reviewed the previous model, I think) due to a MOSFET failing during the review. I'm now also considering the following due to it winning the Custom PC roundup:

Seasonic S12 600W Silent ATX2.0 Power Supply

My personal preferance would be the Seasonic you just mentioned or this, FSP Sparkle FX600-GLN Epsilon 600W ATX2.0 PSU FSP Sparkle FX600-GLN Epsilon 600W ATX2.0 PSU

Thanks for the info on the OCZ and Corsair. I had already come across the OCZ during some further research, and liked the look of it. I have now narrowed it down to two:

OCZ GameXStream 700w Silent SLI Ready ATX2 Power Supply
Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-620HXUK)

I like the look of the Corsair for the following reasons:

- power sharing between the triple +12V rails
- industrial grade capacitors
- modular

However, I can get the OCZ PSU for about £20-£25 cheaper. I've also heard some people saying the Corsair can be noisy.

Hmmmm....., decisions, decisions.......

Just found the Corsair for just over £10 what I can get the OCZ for. Another couple of reviews say this is the best and quietest PSU on the market.

Do you think this Corsair is worth an extra £10 over the OCZ ?

I'm swaying towards the Corsair I think, although the review at neoseeker.com suggests that PCI-e graphics cards will soon be moving to an eight pin power connection, which are not supported by the Corsair.

Should I be worried about this ?

Thanks for all the feedback!

I've settled on the Corsair HX 620W due to it coming near the top in all the reviews and being very quiet, along with being resonably priced. Apparently it's also made by Seasonic.
