Hi guys i have a question which PSU should i use for a antec 900?
should be around 100£ and around 700W plus minus 50 :)
it has to be one that is silent and powerful.

right now my rig is not that powerful but i want the option to get a stronger rig in the future. thats why around 700W even though i am not really needing it now.

My rig: Dual Core X2 AMD 4800+
Gforce 7800GT
4 Harddisks (Seagate and Maxtor) all SATA

as i said not that powerfull but i want the option to use the PSU for my future upgrade. dont like the idea to buy a new psu in 1 year when i upgrade.
thx a lot for your help

Mike

ps i forgot to say it should fit into the antec 900 and should be if possible modular!

Can't go wrong with a Corsair HX 620W :)
Its very quiet, more than powerful enough, has very good reviews anywhere you look and its modular.
Should fit your case just fine as its nothing huge.

thanks a lot guys.
one more thing the corsair 620, if i ever wanna go SLI 80s cards can the psu support it?
i guess i will never buy 2 of those monsters since i wil be fine with one but just wanna know its possible :) u know i like to have the power under the hood if i need it.

or maybe for the future new ATI GPU.

thanks a lot for your advises so far :)
mike

one more thing:
how about this baby? 730W HiperPower Type-R Modular II, Quad-SLI

the corsair 620w have been shown to power a 8800gtx sli with a dual core so it will easily power your needs

thanks again! already ordered :) monday it will be here! why is postage taking so long :( hehe

again thx to all of you for the comments :)
i remember back in the days PSU and Case was not as important you just baught one!

now every computer part is influencing the system. you have to be always up to date on ALL parts if u wanna buy a nice Rig! :( well thx again :)

The 620HW has 2 x PCI-E 6-pin connectors. And i see no reason why it wouldnt have enough juice for that.
But for two 8800gtx cards you need 4 x PCI-E 6-pin connectors..(two for each card)

Try the Seasonic M12 700W.

Its Modular, stable and gets very good reviews, OCUK have them for £135 but i think you might get one for £125 if you have a good search.
