Your right in saying the Tagan has more rails @ 20a each were's the Corsair has 2 @ 40a.
Whether this makes a difference not sure, but I do like the Corsair.

Have has a look at Pc Power & Cooling range.

Corsair out of these.

Have a look at the Enermax Revolution range too, have read some cracking reviews. :)

they are all soild, not sure about OCZ seen a very bad one on reviews and stuff, and it partly killed my Q6600 :( still works through

I have a tagan now, its got cracking reviews but annoyinly the reviews are rare for the bigger onces

Personally if i was going to get a 1kW psu i would get this, the components inside are assembled by pcp&p i think, but has a larger quieter fan than the pcp&p range. Also the 80 plus gold certificate means it has 90%+ efficiency on the american 110V grid at 20, 50 and 100% load, on the uk 230V grid it will be even more efficient. That means it will be one cool running psu.

ive had 2 corsair hx620s fail. and bear in mind the rma has you sending them back to the netherlands,
im trying a tagan 900 at the mo

yes, i'm getting the 850W version

The only 1000W supply I've seen that gets better reviews than the Corsair is the Enermax Revolution 85. It's pretty expensive, though.

I saw a review for the coolermaster and it said it was terrible... really terrible. Have you looked at the Antec signature series they are meant to be rock solid but a bit pricey.

Had to rma as corsair ( took motherboard and hard drive with it) took 5 weeks in total. Sold it and got a tagan, best move ever ,rock solid power supply.
