Has anyone owned both and can compare which is quieter? The choice is between Seasonic M12 Modular 500W Silent ATX2.0 and Tagan TG530-U15 530W ATX2.01 Easycon SLi Compliant Modular Silent.

It has to be modular and as quiet as possible. I've got a old Tagan at the moment, it's very quiet but started ticking. How are the new Tagans?

Ive got a fairly new tagan - its silent. Im both they are both very very quiet so I doubt you would hear the difference in sound. Personally I would go for the tagan just because I have one and I think their superb

I have a Corsair HX520W that is based on the Seasonic M12 design and it is very quiet. You can check out Tagan's dBA chart here:

and here is the Corsair one:

If their charts are correct, Tagan is a bit louder under normal load, but quieter than the Corsair under full load.

From the reviews I have seen, Seasonic or the Corsair is the better choice -- better efficiency, voltage regulation and more amps on the +12V rails than the Tagan.
You can also check out in depth review on Tagan and Corsair's here:

I can't answer that for certian but going by the regular Seasonic that I have, I don't think you'll be dissapointed with the M12 for silence, performance and now the benefits of a modular system.. Will be intesting to see how this gets reviewed.. My guess is that it will be up there.

I'm going to sell my regular one and get an M12 for certain.

Apparently Seasonics are one of the quietest PSU around. I would buy the best PSU and if its took loud replace the fans :)
