Need a new psu for a friends build, he bought a cheap alpine unit that blew his mobo, ive built a new system for him now and upgraded his gpu to a 4870. so for the psu, the only requirement is at least 2 x 6 pin pcie connectors for the gpu.

The budget is up to £50, heres three ive chosen so far, i have owned the bequiet and its great but im leaning towards the xfx for him.

YOUR BASKET
1 x BeQuiet Pure Power L7 530W '80 Plus' Power Supply £45.98
1 x XFX Pro 450W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £45.98
1 x Lepa W-Series 450W '80 Plus' Power Supply £43.99
Total : £147.06 (includes shipping : £9.25).

i think the xfx will be the right one, good seasonic brand, got the right connectors and has basic braiding as well. the bequiet was great but the plain cables on a none modular psu is a real eyesore, especially in a small case with not much cable management space.

reading the review it sounds like the +12v is a bit dodgy with it, like i say though, the rig specs are..

sempron 140, tried unlocking it wont. gonna have a huge overclock on it.
asus mobo (cheap)
4gb ocz ddr3 low voltage
120gb ide hdd
will have a 4870 in there
no cd/dvd drive

bought the lepa for him, will be a million times better than the Alpine 500w £12 one he bought lol. he also paid £25 for it in a local shop, i told him to ask me but he did it anyway.
