Heya guys, just moved my system over to my Lian-Li V300 and my Hiper Modular 580w PSU doesnt fit due to the modular cables over hanging.

So its time to sell this one and replace it with a non modular PSU, only thing is im not sure what to go for.

I want it to be at least 580w or more and i dont really want it going past the £100 mark. Its also gotta be quiet.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Currently im looking at:

Thermaltake PurePower 600W

Akasa Ultra Quiet 650W PowerPlus

Seasonic S12 600W Silent

Oh and would like a decent warranty on the PSU

Wouldn't go with the Thermaltake. Heard a few bad things about them.

The Antec TruePower 550 might be worth considering too.

Another seasonic reccomendation here.

Or OCZ GameXStream 600w Silent SLI Ready ATX2 Power Supply for £88.07 inc. OCZ are generally as solid as a rock on steroids.

Seasonic here as well, best you will find for silence!

The fan on mine spins at 800rpm idle and 1200rpm under heavy load (430w), should be even lower RPM with the higher end models at thew same load due to the heatsinks being larger.

IIRC, the GameXStreams are outsourced from Sparkle/FSP (good)

Seasonic, FSP etc...can't go wrong.

Hmm, still good I suppose, guess it's to keep costs down.

Why hasn't anyone suggested q-tec yet, I heard they're great value for money...
