which psu?

hi,

my hiper 580w decided it didnt want to power anything anymore last week and need a new one...

however i have no idea which are reliable and what not...

so could someone recommend me one please, around the same wattage :)

hmmm i may get one of them.... is it going to last? dont want to be paying £100 for another in 6months time....

or is there just as good ones for abit cheaper?

The corsair comes with a 5 year warranty,so no problems with it lasting ;) It is really is one of the best psu's around :D

The antec I suggested has the same values on the 3 rails as the Corsair and is only 70W less. Its also £30 less money. Having said that it isn't modular, but does that matter?

Assuming that your next upgrade will be a totally new machine is a year's time or more, I think you might as well save a few pounds now, then build your next rig from the ground up. And yes, the FSP will be just fine for your current needs.

That X1900 he has draws out quite abit of power 130-200W. Plus the other devices too, would be risky I would think aiming to buy a 400W PSU. Especially when the card is fully loaded during games etc.
