So, my old Trust 570W just died so looking for a new psu to power the following;

Q6600
2GB Corsair XMS
Asus p5k
x1950pro
1*80Gb maxtor
1*160Gb WD
1*dvd rom
+ about 6 fans sizes from 120 to 200 something (antec 900)

In terms of futureproofing what would you do, get a psu that can do sli with ease or? I dont have any plans to upgrade in the near future in terms of the whole pc, but if an sli ready psu can be brought for a reasonable price then i may as well get that.

Dont have any particular budget but just wanna get a psu that will easily run the above spec. 1 thing id like is for it to be modular.

Thanks

PS buying from ocuk

Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-620HXUK)
or
Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-520HXUK)

Depends on budget I think

Are there any cheaper psus that can be brought that will just run the above spec. I doubt ill get sli in the future so this isnt a must.

What are the Jeantech psus like - for example the JEANTECH - 600W *ARCTIC* ATX can be brought for around £70. What is this like compared to the corsair hx520w?

Thanks

Jeantech are decent enough but you are still spending £70ish on a PSU so I don't see the point in buying it unless you are somehow saving money over the Corsair. PC Power & Cooling also do good PSUs, the 470w ought to do you but then again so would the Akasa Paxpower 500w since you don't have a hugely demanding system.

Im not sure whether its the card that has blown the psu or its just died naturally. I dont wanna test the gfx in a friends pc cause i dont wanna blow his psu either. Best bet is go to a shop, buy the jeantech 600w, put the gfx in, if its blows again I can take it back to the shop + also send the card back if that is the cause.

That sound gd?

P.S can get the jeantech for 65 now...
