Which PSU?

Hi guys.

Im after a new PSU, but need a little help/swaying getting one.

Now, money no object i'd get the 650/750 X Seasonic.
But do I need to spend so much to have a reliable and stable PSU?

Sys Specs:
Q6600 3.3
1x Samsung HD
4850 1gb
Case fans etc

Ha, yea - those PSUs are great - but for most PCs they are just too costly.

I would suggest having a look at this PSU. It is currently on offer and it is pretty hard to beat for the price.

This will do the job nicely, the 4850 is quite a low power consumption card.

I'd be looking at the corsair range. All highly rated and well priced.

The only issue is which one; what power was your last PSU?

The Corsair 400w or 500w ~ shall be fine.

I would go with a corsair 550 or 520 of whatever it is, 600+ would be overkill. On the other side of the coin you probably want little more headoom than the 400w, as you could happily upgrade the gpu and whack on some more hdd's or other accessories without giving the psu a second thought.
